Fall 2026: The Season of Texture, Personality & a Little More Drama

There’s something about fall fashion that makes getting dressed fun again.

After months of easy summer dressing, suddenly we’re thinking about layers. Texture. Great shoes. Interesting proportions. A beautiful jacket thrown over an outfit. And all those little details that make you stop and think, Okay, THIS is why I love fashion.

And Fall 2026 is giving us plenty to work with.

This season isn’t about throwing out everything in your closet and starting again. Quite the opposite. It’s about taking pieces you already love and making them feel new with texture, proportion, colour and accessories.

At Lord’s, we’ve always believed the best wardrobes are collected rather than simply bought. A great pair of jeans from last year can suddenly look completely different with an oversized knit and a fabulous new loafer. A simple black outfit changes instantly when you add pearls. Your favourite summer denim can keep working well into fall when you add a boot.

That is the mood of the season:

Wear what you love. Layer it differently. And don’t be afraid of a little drama.

  • TEXTURE IS HAVING A MOMENT

If there is one word defining our new arrivals, it might be texture.

Knits are chunkier. Fabrics have movement. Shoes are mixing finishes. Metallics are showing up where we used to expect neutrals. And clothing is becoming wonderfully tactile again.

We’re especially loving the new statement knits arriving for fall.

The beauty of a statement knit is that it does most of the work for you. Pair one with a great trouser or your favourite denim and suddenly you have an outfit. There’s no complicated styling required.

And while the pieces may make a statement, the silhouettes themselves are surprisingly easy to wear: relaxed, modern and comfortable without feeling sloppy.

That balance—interesting but wearable—is exactly what we look for when buying for Lord’s.

THE NEW PROPORTIONS

You may have noticed something else happening this season: silhouettes are changing.

After years of very fitted dressing, fashion continues to loosen up.

Pants are wider. Barrel shapes are everywhere. Tops have more movement. Jackets are slightly oversized. Layering pieces are longer, shorter or more exaggerated than we might have worn them a few years ago.

And yes, sometimes you have to try these pieces on before you understand them.

That’s actually part of the fun.

One of our favourite things to do at Lord’s is take a customer who says, “I could NEVER wear that,” put her in it—and watch her completely change her mind.

The trick is balance.

A fuller pant can look fantastic with a shorter jacket. An oversized knit works beautifully with a cleaner bottom. A long vest creates an entirely different line over a simple column of colour.

You don't have to adopt every trend.

Choose the proportion that makes you feel fantastic and make it your own.

FROM GREECE, WITH DRAMA

One of the collections bringing that philosophy to life beautifully this season is Ozai N Ku.

Designed and made in Greece, the collection has that unmistakable European ability to make something relaxed feel incredibly intentional.

There are interesting shapes. Unexpected details. Volume in just the right places. Pieces that look fabulous on the hanger but become even better once you put them on.

Ozai N Ku isn't clothing designed to disappear.

It has personality.

But what we love most is that underneath the drama, the pieces are incredibly wearable. You can build an entire look around one statement piece or mix it into a wardrobe you already own.

Try a dramatic top with a simple black pant. Add one of the collection’s more architectural pieces over denim. Or embrace the full look and let the proportions do the talking.

Fashion should occasionally make you feel a little different when you walk out the door.

This collection does exactly that.

PEARL POWER

And then there are the accessories.

This fall, pearls have officially left the jewellery box.

We’re seeing them incorporated into necklaces, hip chains, studs and unexpected accessories—and we love the contrast of something traditionally feminine being styled in a much more modern way.

Forget the idea that pearls need a little black dress.

Try them with denim.

Try them over a black cashmere sweater.

Add a pearl hip chain over trousers or a blazer.

Mix pearls with gold rather than keeping everything perfectly matched.

The point is not to look precious.

The point is to add power details.

Sometimes the smallest thing you put on is the piece that changes the entire outfit.
